SHAKLAB LTD

San Jose, CA, 2001-Merle's first Christmas gift ever given was a song to his mom at Midnight mass. Since then, his journey has taken him through piano, guitar, into adulthood teaching music- spreading the gift of music to the next generation. Merle, The HERMIT aims to make shaklab.co a multifaceted art laboratory that gives the youth access to everything they need to create, regardless of background or ability. 

Merle has trouble being one thing, so he creates personas to embody the projects he aims to create. The HERMIT is his alter ego- the one pulling the strings, making things happen in the background that move the shaklab.co project forward. This includes song composition, production, and arrangement. 

Merle, The HERMIT is working with a non-profit organization to bring the vision to fruition, and actively searching for more opportunities to get The Fabulous Unkwn heard. Check out our music on all streaming platforms, follow our socials, and I'd love to connect!
